89 Connect – The Online Network For Young European Experts And Professionals
LONDON, 5 November 2018 — As the 89 Initiative pursues its mission to mobilise the new generation of Europeans, it launches a new network: 89 Connect. It is an online platform connecting and promoting the exchange of innovative ideas between young European experts and professionals – the ‘89ers’.
89 Connect has a two-fold function. It serves as an incubator of ideas and as a meeting point for both professionals (such as conference organisers and employers) interested in new and diversified expert voices and young citizens seeking to get involved and make a difference.
They may get in touch via an intuitive search tool and a detailed profile database which allow for a narrow selection of like-minded individuals and peers of interest in specific sectors and areas of expertise.
By launching this platform, the 89 Initiative acts on the realisation that Europeans under 30 are not connected enough with the European Union and that the EU may lack a well-diversified body of experts.
89 Connect is conceived as a forum to address this issue, giving more visibility to innovative points of views and ideas, so as to rejuvenate the EU with a new body of movers and shakers.
