89 London is looking for research officers for its innovation and democracy research programmes. If you are a masters or PhD student looking to join a bright and inquisitive research team based in London, we want to hear from you!
What will I be doing?
Research Officers at 89 London conduct research, analyse policies, and collaborate with other academics under the supervision of their Research Director. Specific tasks may include desk research, analysing quantitative or qualitative data, and conducting as well as analysing interviews.
The work will be conducted remotely and can be completed on top of full-time employment or studies. The average weekly commitment is 10 hours (in some periods it will be higher, in some lower). In this role, you will have the opportunity to present your findings at the 89 Initiative flagship conference at the end of April 2022. While this is a volunteer role, your efforts will be recognised with a £150 stipend upon the completion of your research.
On the 89 London Innovation team, ROs will work with Dr. Norin Arshed, who studies the formulation and implementation of enterprise policy at the University of Dundee. Read the Innovation team’s latest annual research report here.
On the 89 London Democracy team, ROs will work with Dr. Roch Dunin-Wąsowicz, who studies European civil society for the Visions of Europe project at LSE IDEAS. Read the Democracy team’s latest annual research report here.
