The 89 Initiative is a think-do tank. The 89 Initiative routinely organises events open to professionals, students, young people and citizens. While professionals attend the events upon acceptance of an invitation, other participants are reached through different channels (social media, universities, newsletters etc). To promote the events, or activity or project, disseminate the results, invite experts, the 89 Initiative uses also mail addresses of relevant individuals freely and publicly available on internet.

 

2.Who is responsible for the processing of personal data (data controller)?

3.What is the purpose of the processing?

Data is necessary for the recruitment and selection of participants to the projects, activities or events. Data is also necessary to disseminate the results of the projects, activities or events.


4.What is the legal basis for the processing?
General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) – and the 1989 Generation Initiative Statute (where you can find our aims and objectives).

5.What personal data is collected?
The following data is collected: name, mail addresses, motivations of the person to participate to the event, phone numbers (optional), images (optional), videos (optional), background of the person (including in some cases some sensitive data to ensure the diversity, balance and inclusiveness of the activity).

 

6.Who has access to your personal data?

The collected personal data is stored on Google Drive. The access to all personal data is only granted through UserID/Password to a defined population of users, the 89 Initiative staff.

 

7. How can I access, rectify, block or erase my data?
If you would like to verify which personal data is stored on your behalf by the controller in charge, have it modified, corrected or deleted, please contact the controller.

 

8. How long are my data kept for?

Since these data is necessary to carry out the statutory aims of the 89 Initiative, they will be stored until their relevance expires or the 89 Initiative dissolves. Other data is kept as long as follow-up actions are necessary with regard to the purpose(s) of the processing of personal data.
